Based in Fresno, California, the Lyles Construction Group specializes in Infrastructure, Energy and Environmental construction projects throughout the State of California. Our mission is to meet the needs of our clients by providing the highest value construction services available. The West Kern Water District has worked in conjunction with the W.M. Lyles Co. for over twenty years. We have found them to be professional in every aspect of water works construction. Our experience has included consultation on design, construction management, prime and sub-contracting services on projects ranging up to $30,000,000. Our Leaders

Dave Dawson – President/CEO
Dave has been involved in all facets of the construction industry with a career that has spanned 30+ years. He has been employed by W.M. Lyles Co. since 2006 and, during that time, has successfully managed in excess of $185M in projects. Dave is an expert in water and wastewater treatment plant design, construction, contract management, project estimating and scheduling. Dave is a graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, and a Master of Business Administration degree from University of La Verne. Dave has also been a Registered Professional Engineer since 1981.

Ken Strosnider – Senior Vice President – Central Division Manager
Ken has a vast breadth of knowledge and expertise within the construction industry in a career that has extended 25+ years. He has been employed as a Project Manager with W.M. Lyles Co. since 1989 managing projects in excess of $80 million. Ken’s expertise includes project management and engineering in the areas of water pumping, water conveyance, water and wastewater treatment, groundwater recharge, sewer and storm drain installation, power distribution, and welded steel pipeline construction. Ken is a graduate of California, State University Fresno with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management.

Pat Saleen – Vice President – Southern Division Manager
Pat has worked in the construction industry for more than 27 years. He began his career with W.M. Lyles Co. in 1989. During that time he has successfully performed roles in lead estimating, project management and engineering for both public and private development projects. During his tenure, Pat has also provided executive management within three divisions of W.M. Lyles Co. He has extensive knowledge in underground utility infrastructure, pumping plant and utility rehabilitation and mechanical systems for water and waste water pumping and treatment plants. Pat is a graduate of California State University Fresno with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management.

Joe Lawrence – Assistant Vice President – Northern Division Manager
Joe has been engaged, almost exclusively, in the construction of both water and wastewater treatment facilities for the last 12+ years. He has been employed by the W.M. Lyles Co. since 2002 and, during that time, has overseen the construction of more than $100M worth of projects utilizing both design-build and design-bid-build delivery methods. Joe’s areas of expertise include project management, risk management, value engineering, estimating, CPM scheduling, and problem solving. Joe is a graduate of California State University, Fresno with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management.
